I just woke up to a huge cockroach crawling on my neck. It ran behind a box in my room and disappeared. I start my new job today and have to be up in 3 hours but how the hell do I go to sleep without having caught it?

If you can't find it, sleep in the bathtub (and be sure to stuff a towel under the door to keep the enemy out)

Get a kitten. And if your place has a dishwasher, run it, regardless whether you have dishes to wash. Scares those grubbers right off.
